It is always so sad for me when my clients have their last session from the Baby’s First Year Collection. As a motherhood photographer, I primarily shoot maternity, newborn and up to that first birthday and I cherish every session as I watch baby grow! However, I always love when I am able to squeeze in family sessions or see my First Year Collection families at fall and/or Christmas mini sessions! But boy do those first birthday studio portraits bring in all the emotions!
This sweet family first contacted me when they were in search of a maternity photographer to capture that perfect baby belly and soon added on for the full year of documenting their little one grow. Our first session was in November 2022 and we lucked out with some beautiful fall weather! Here are a few of my favorites from that session:

Kaitlyn looks absolutely stunning in that pink dress from the client wardrobe, it’s one of my favorites for sure! It is so flattering on every body type. Kaitlyn also chose to have hair and make up done by one of my HMUA, Liz, who always makes moms feel and look their best!

Our next session was of course the newborn portrait session! Kaitlyn and Michael chose to have their session in the studio. Clients are always welcome to choose between a studio session or an in-home lifestyle session. Coming to the studio has its perks of having everything ready and all in one place. All the outfits, wraps, heaters, bean bag, etc. Here are just a few of my favorites from their newborn session!

It is so crazy how fast that first year goes and I soon saw them again for Sienna’s 6 month session! Six month sessions are so fun because baby is more interactive and so curious! But bonus for photographers is that they aren’t moving too much yet so they are a bit easier to photograph! Here are my favorites from her 6 month session!

Next up is the final session, Sienna’s first year portrait session! This is such a big milestone for not only baby but also for the parents as it is one tough year for everyone! So many adjustments, transitions, growing, developing and learning for the whole family. But it also is the best year of bonding, loving, nurturing, fun and so much more! To celebrate a cake is always a fun add on! Here are a few of my favorites from their most recent session! Sienna is ONE!
