Frequently Asked Questions – Business

Do I receive the digital copies with a print release to print my photos anywhere?
Yes! Photos delivered to you from our session are high resolution lightly retouched digital images that are downloaded straight to your computer. Along with the photos is a print release, that if asked by a lab, you can provide to them.

Where should I print my photos?
I do offer prints, canvases, and other products through Miller’s Professional Imaging which produce the highest quality in printing, beautifully designed albums and much more. If you would rather print your own, Mpix is a second tier of Miller’s Professional Imaging but you do not have to be a photographer to order prints. They have great products as well and also offer sales every so often. A third option is Shutterfly, they don’t provide the same quality as Miller’s or Mpix but they do have more of a variety and always seem to have a sale going on.

Where shouldn’t I print my photos?
Printing labs like Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens are great for when you are in a pinch. I have used them myself when printing photos for my kids birthday parties when I waited until the last minute to prepare! Haha But when printing for products that you will use in your home, want to last through generations, or gifting to family it is best to use a high quality print lab. These labs, though inexpensive, do not color calibrate the images to match the software I use to produce true to life coloring. So often times they produce over saturated, slightly out of focus, color-casted photos on low quality materials that will unfortunately not last through generations.

Do you prefer canvas or framed wall photos?
This is definitely a personal preference, and honestly for me it depends on the room I am displaying the photos in and the look I am going for. I have both canvas prints (my kids newborn photos in their rooms, my wedding photos in my room) and framed wall photos (in the dining room, hallway and living room).

How long do you store images after our session?
All delivered images are stored for at least one year – we try to keep all images for as long as possible in case your order becomes damaged. I recommend that you back up your digital files in two places to be certain you have them for years to come.

Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes!  Gifting a friend or family member with a session is a wonderfully thoughtful idea.  You can purchase a gift certificate for someone who has already booked with me in any denomination or you can purchase a whole session

How soon will I be able to see my photos?
I provide a sneak peek from our session within 24-48 hours and this can be anywhere from 2-6 photos. If approved by you, then they will be posted to Facebook and/or Instagram social media platforms. If not approved for public viewing then they will be emailed to you in the same time frame. The rest of your gallery will be available within 2 weeks of our session date unless otherwise noted.

How do I book a session?
I am so glad you asked! 🙂 There are a few options you are welcome to use. You may message me on my facebook page, through Instagram, fill out my contact form, directly email me at lindseyferriephotography@gmail.com or call/text me at 724.544.7774. We will then proceed with scheduling your session and go over the details, location, pricing, styling, and completing the portrait contract.

Do you edit all of my photographs?
Yes! All photos are lightly retouched with attention to detail being priority. My style is light, pure,  and timeless. Editing is minimal and makes sure that the moments in the photos are the highlight of the photo and no distractions, odd coloring or drastic editing take away from them.
