As a Photographer, specializing in Pittsburgh Newborn Portraits, I have experience in photographing lots of babies with lots of different personalities. Many times clients come to me from close to an hour away which means baby sleeps in the car on the way here and is not quite sleepy anymore once taken out of the carseat and fed. Moms tend to worry they won’t get their sought after sleepy baby poses but I ensure them that we will get photos that will not only will they love but show off their baby’s sweet personality. I focus on baby led posing and let baby take the reign. One of the reasons I like to include the whole family is that naturally a baby loves to be held and is happiest in Mom and Dads arms. So when a baby arrives in a bit of a fussy state, we start off with family photos and this more often than not allows for baby to relax and be comfortable enough for solo photos.

And that’s just what we did for sweet Sylvie! Shortly after arriving she wasn’t a fan of being put down so we wrapped her up and in the arms of Mom she went and these are the beautiful photos we got!

She just loved being in Moms arms and got so comfy and relaxed that she drifted off to sleep and we were then able to get the rest of the gallery! When you follow baby’s cues the results are always the best most beautiful portraits!

Sweet baby Sylvie and her parents, Maddie and Terry were such a joy to photograph! I loved getting some newborn snuggles in while capturing the beauty of God’s perfect angel! Congratulations again Maddie and Terry, she’s just beautiful!
